Location and Region
The small neighborhood of Suzannaland is located against the center of the village. Within a few minutes you are in front of the spacious supermarket or the many other artisanal retail stores. There are several larger parking areas directly around the polder, where visitors can park their car. The skyline of the polder is dominated by the oldest wooden mill in the Province of Zeeland. The mighty blades of this beautiful red mill regularly rotate and you are welcome to visit the mill and the miller.
From Sint-Annaland you are in Tholen-city in 10 minutes. There you will find the town hall, the Calvin College, the supermarkets of Albert Heijn and Aldi and a large number of fresh specialty stores. In 20 minutes you are in nearby Bergen op Zoom. There you will find facilities such as the GP and hospital, secondary schools, theatre, cinema and a large selection of shops and restaurants. It will take you about 30 minutes to get to Goes, Antwerp, Breda or Rotterdam (provided there are no traffic jams of course). Within 60 minutes you are in the heart of the very atmospheric capital of Zeeland, Middelburg. In short, Sint-Annaland is very strategically located between all these beautiful cities.
Get to know Sint-Annaland
Whoever enters Sint-Annaland cannot ignore the large marina that the village has. The tide determines the rhythm. After all, Sint-Annaland has a tidal harbor which is located on the Krabbenkreek and is thus directly connected to the Oosterschelde, the largest National Park in the Netherlands.
The marina and its facilities are particularly popular, thanks to its perfect location and not least thanks to the various catering establishments in the immediate vicinity. It gives Sint-Annaland a lively dynamic. The special qualities of the marina are an open secret. Anyone who enjoys his or her base of operations to the Zeeland waters all year round likes to keep it to themselves and the inhabitants of Sint-Annaland are modest.
