Tholen is close to Brabant, but belongs to Zeeland. That's a strength. The accessibility of Tholen, centrally located in the Southwest Delta, is excellent due to the construction of the dams and the improved access via the A4. The Oesterdam and Philipsdam provide a fast connection to Schouwen-Duiveland and Zuid-Beveland respectively.
Tholen is the center of cities such as Rotterdam, Breda, Antwerp and Goes. From these economic engines you can drive across the bridge in half an hour at Tholen-stad, Oud-Vossemeer or Sint Philipsland.
The nearest train station is in Bergen op Zoom from where there are good bus connections to Tholen. With only one traffic light and a roundabout here and there, it is obvious that traffic jams are an unknown concept on Tholen.
