At the time, the municipality of Tholen chose to continue to cherish its own archive and to keep it as accessible to its residents and visitors as possible. That worked.

A visit to the municipal archive can be done digitally, but also by visiting the study room in the town hall in Tholen-stad. This is where the old archives of the former municipalities from which Tholen originated are kept. There are also other archives to consult.
