As soon as the door is locked, the clock will run. Sixty minutes should be enough to complete all missions and escape from the basement. The great thing about this escape room is that the location immediately provides the necessary atmosphere. You are underground in a somewhat damp basement (which is being tracked). It smells like an old cellar should smell.

The escape room is an idea that arose during a meeting of the Sint-Annaland Village Community. The cellar was still available. The knife cuts both ways. The village has gained another attraction and the museum hopes that this will allow younger people to become acquainted with the museum. It is usually teenagers, twenties and thirties who visit escape rooms throughout the country. The idea is that you solve puzzles and riddles in groups to find the key to the room in question and free yourself. At the beginning of this year, the thousandth escape room in the Netherlands was opened. If you consider that only seven years ago the first started, you can say that they are becoming more and more popular. In Sint-Annaland, the assignments are linked to the contents of the museum. A little (local) historical knowledge is therefore useful, but all the necessary information can be found in the escape room itself. So someone from elsewhere can also escape…

The escape room can be booked via www.uitjeinjouwstad.nl on Wednesday through Saturday. This is also possible in the evening, outside the opening hours of the museum. Participation is in groups of two to five people. Minimum age is fifteen years.
