What exactly are you selling?
Apples and pears from our own orchard. Fruit and vegetables from local colleagues as much as possible. Wisse juice from and with apples and pears from our own orchard. Fruit and Chocolate from Wisse, sour from Wisse (homemade apple cider vinegar) and Bubbels from Wisse (apple cider and pear cider). Eggs from farmer Mark (chickens from our son), cheese and ice cream, fresh sandwiches and goodies for coffee. All this supplemented with Zeeland regional products, fruit products from fellow fruit growers and souvenirs.
What is the history of your company?
The fruit growing company has existed for three generations. A farm shop has been added there for two years. We started after a hail year. We had juice pressed from the hail fruit, initially not with the idea of selling it, more for ourselves. On holiday in our own country, I saw a colleague fruit grower sell his products in the farm shop with playground and became enthusiastic. Started at home with 3 cubic boxes upside down in the front yard with juice and summer apples. Checked to see if people liked it and they did. This is how we have grown into a real store.
Where does your merchandise come from?
Own company, purchasing from colleagues from the region and fruit growers from further afield. We make our own brand products in collaboration with colleagues who have the right knowledge and resources for this. Nice to know is that we also supply juice, fruit and vegetables to various Thool catering establishments.
What else can you experience on your yard?
Behind the store we have a terrace with petting zoo and playground. You are welcome to come and have a drink with us. We also regularly give excursions with the picking train through the orchard and organize various activities throughout the year.
When can visitors come to you?
Friday afternoon from 13 pm to 17 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 16 pm.
