Simply good living in Smerdiek-West

Smerdiek-West is a pleasant neighborhood in the west of Sint-Maartensdijk. A neighborhood where it is simply good to live. Because here people still greet each other on the street and ask your neighbors how you are doing. And if you go to the FIR or the Lidl for your shopping, you always meet someone. The children can walk to the new Community School. The Maartenshof care center, the village hall and the swimming pool are also always nearby.

    Park

    A new park is being constructed in the heart of Smerdiek-West. The layout of this has not yet been determined, but think of rest areas and a jeu-de-boules court.

    Broad school

    Sint-Maartensdijk will have a Community School. The Christian Juliana van Stolbergschool and public primary school De Rieburch will soon be housed in this sustainable building. Zo Kinderopvang, the GGD and the library are also moving to the new building in Smerdiek-West.

    She was born and raised in Sint-Maartensdijk and has always lived there. Tonny Breure-de Wilde (80) knows many people in the village and many know her. “Recently I went for a walk and then I spoke to seven different people,” she laughs.
