Scherpenisse polder
The route starts at the edge of the Scherpenissepolder. Here you cycle along an unspoilt and bird-rich nature reserve that consists of saline soils. The Oosterschelde is on the right: climb up the dike to enjoy a beautiful view over the water, while enjoying the fresh air. At junction 40 there is a bird-rich nature reserve with salty and sweet grasslands on the left of the road: the Schakerloopolder.

Historic Tholen
Tholen is a town with a historic center that is still largely surrounded by ramparts and ramparts. You will find many monuments here, such as the beautiful sixteenth-century Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk. At the cozy Brasserie Kaeswienkeltje you can settle down for a delicious lunch. You can also stock up on some tasty cheeses here.
