A universal Fleming in Town Hall concert Tholen

The City Hall concert on Saturday afternoon, June 24, will be dedicated to Joannes Daniel Dulcken. This originally German harpsichord maker worked in 18th century Antwerp. He united in his instruments the characteristic timbres of the German, French and Flemish harpsichords. Harpsichordist Jan de Viet will express this universal quality in his program with music by, among others, François Couperin, Marin Marais, JS Bach and C. Ph. E Bach.
The instrument being played is a copy that was recently loaned to supplement the collection of the Anthonie Keldermans Concerten Foundation in the Old Town Hall.
